What are the advantages of PP cream jar
PP cream cans (i.e. cream skincare/cosmetic packaging cans made of polypropylene material) are widely used in the packaging field due to the characteristics and design advantages of polypropylene (PP) material. Their advantages are mainly reflected in the following aspects:
1、 Material performance advantages
1. Strong chemical stability
PP material is acid and alkali resistant and organic solvent resistant. It is not easy to react with grease and active ingredients in creams, lotion and other cosmetics. It can effectively protect the stability of the contents and avoid deterioration of ingredients or corrosion of packaging.
2. Good temperature resistance
Compared to ordinary plastics such as PE, PP has a higher heat resistance temperature (usually around 100 ℃), and is less prone to deformation during high-temperature filling and sterilization processes in cosmetics production. It can also adapt to temperature fluctuations during daily storage (such as high temperature environments in summer).
3. High security
PP belongs to food grade plastic, non-toxic and odorless, meets the hygiene standards of cosmetic packaging, and does not contain harmful plasticizers (such as phthalates), which is harmless to the skin and human body, especially suitable for packaging scenarios that come into direct contact with skincare products.
2、 Practical functional features
1. Excellent sealing performance
PP material has certain elasticity and plasticity, and with sealing structures such as screw caps and press caps, it can effectively block air, moisture, and dust from entering the can, extending the shelf life of cream products (avoiding deterioration caused by oxidation and pollution).
2. Strong impact resistance
PP material has good toughness, is resistant to drops and collisions, and is not easily broken during transportation, storage, or daily use (compared to glass jars), reducing the loss of products caused by packaging damage.
3. Lightweight and easy to carry
PP material has a low density (about 0.9g/cm ?) and is much lighter in weight than glass or ceramic jars of the same volume, making it convenient for consumers to carry around (such as travel bags and sample bags) and improving usability.
3、 Processing and design advantages
1. Flexible molding process
PP is easy to process into various shapes (round, square, irregular, etc.) and specifications (from small sample cans weighing a few grams to large cans weighing hundreds of grams) through injection molding, blow molding, and other processes. The surface can be treated with sandblasting, smoothing, printing, hot stamping, etc., which can meet diverse appearance design needs and enhance the beauty and recognition of the product.
2. Relatively low cost
Compared to materials such as glass and ceramics, PP raw materials have lower prices, simpler processing techniques, and higher production efficiency, which can reduce the overall cost of packaging. It is suitable for large-scale production and is particularly favored by affordable cosmetics companies.
3. Good recyclability
PP belongs to recyclable plastics (marked as "5" for recycling), which is in line with environmental trends. Some companies will use recycled PP materials to make packaging and reduce the burden on the environment.
